The Maxwell House was the perfect location for our wedding. Incredibly affordable for all the that they supply, and in an amazingly beautiful area in Pasadena. The event coordinator, Reid, was always so quick to respond to any email I sent and helped us in any way possible.
I'm a photographer and so I visit and shoot at a lot of venues. The Maxwell House is a beautiful old house. CONS: The main hall gets very dark very fast. The house is small for a wedding venue, so moving around is difficult and you're really limited with who you can invite.
Love this venue. My wife and I got married here, Reid and Melissa made our day amazing. Would recommend this venue to anyone else who is looking for a venue. Very unique and proceeds go to a good cause.
Situated right off a nearby freeway, the Maxwell House is extremely accessible and an absolutely gorgeous venue. When me and my wife were looking for venues for our wedding, we ultimately landed on this one due to price, location, and the beauty and potential the venue had for hosting our type of event.
Getting married at The Maxwell House
The Maxwell House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
