We loved our experience at The Legacy on Possum Run! My daughter’s wedding was on 9/2/2023 and Whitney and the staff at The Legacy couldn’t have been more helpful or kind! From the initial meeting to the moment we walked out the door Saturday evening, we were shown nothing but kindness! The venue was gorgeous.
We recently had our June wedding at the Legacy on Possum Run. We enjoyed the staff; Whitney and Jack were wonderful to work with. There were monthly open houses that you could use to plan decor, move, and visualize layouts; you could also use that time to show family members.
I had the joy of photographing a beautiful wedding at The Legacy this past weekend, and it was truly a dream. As a photographer from Columbus, the drive to Bellville was easy—and 100% worth it! The Legacy, once a greenhouse, has been beautifully preserved and transformed into the most stunning wedding venue.
Getting married at The Legacy on Possum Run

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
