We recently had the extreme pleasure of attending a family wedding at Lord Thompson Manor. The wedding was a weekend long event that included a rehearsal dinner the night before, the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception as well as a lovely send off brunch the following morning.
I recently got married at the Lord Thompson Manor on 5/20/23, and I must say that the entire weekend was an absolute dream come true. From the moment I first came across LTM online, I knew that it was the perfect venue for my wedding.
What can't they do at Lord Thompson Manor?! It's truly a weekend experience. First, ONE wedding per weekend. The couple and their families have the entire property from Friday - Sunday, which creates a relaxed atmosphere and creates so many opportunities to spend quality time with your loved ones.
I was honored to be a bridesmaid for a dear friend during her wedding this past weekend, and I needed to post a review ASAP about the service we all experienced at Lord Thompson Manor.
Getting married at Lord Thompson Manor
Lord Thompson Manor comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
