We scored every US city of 50,000+ with at least 3 garden venues on two things that actually matter when you're booking: how many venues you have to choose from per 100k residents, and how good those venues are (median Google rating across the city's venues). The ranking

Homestead, Florida is the best city in America to plan a garden wedding — 12 venues for 86k people (14 per 100k) with a median rating of 4.8★, edging out Galveston, Texas (13.1 per 100k at 4.5★). Notice what's missing: the megacities. Methodology: venue counts and Google ratings from our continuously maintained national directory (2,699 garden wedding venues, 1,532,878 reviews). Eligibility: city population ≥ 50,000 (US Census 2024 estimates) and ≥ 3 venues. Score = (venues ÷ population × 100,000) × median Google rating of the city's venues. Cities are rolled up by the city name venues list on their address, so small towns score separately from their metro anchor — and remember most garden venues sit in towns far smaller than this list's 50k cutoff (see the garden wedding capitals for those).
