Magical Wedding Experience at The Waterview – May 4, 2025 We recently got married at The Waterview, and despite the rain, it was an absolutely magical day. From the very beginning, Taylor McIntosh and the entire staff were professional, attentive, and incredibly accommodating to both my wife and our guests.
We had such an incredible experience hosting our wedding at The Waterview! Ariel and Kat were such a pleasure to work with. Kat made sure to keep things on track the day of our wedding and her entire staff made sure anything we needed was taken care of.
The Waterview is one of Connecticut’s most iconic, timeless and classic wedding venues. I was reminded how beautiful the venue is when I returned to photograph Lauren & Justin’s wedding here October. The view is amazing out to the water and the gardens are stunning as you walk the grounds.
We had both our wedding ceremony & reception here and it was the BEST day of our lives!!! Our wedding coordinator, Zulieka, was phenominal and walked us through all of the planning. The venue is stunning, the food is excellent, and the staff are exceptional. I totally recommend this wedding venue for your special day!!
Getting married at The Waterview
The Waterview comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Waterview
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Waterview — garden venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
