This place is a show stopper! Super clean, beautifully decorated and well managed! The team is very detailed oriented as well. The bridal suite is absolutely adorable! Definitely worth looking at for an upcoming venue.
From the moment I stepped onto The Tannery Barn's property, I knew it was the perfect place for our wedding reception, and I was right. The Tannery Barn made our reception dreams come true! The space feels intimate and warm, and being there is like a breath of fresh air.
Had daughter’s wedding here. Beautiful location. Performed ceremony outside with beautiful views. Cocktail hour upstairs was amazing. Extremely friendly staff & delicious finger food! (Crab dip & Chicken tacos were my favorite). Reception downstairs was perfect.
We searched for some time to find the perfect venue for our wedding day. After looking at various options throughout Maryland we found the perfect one for us. The pricing was reasonable. The venue was barnyard, but not rustic at all, felt classy. The location was in the quaint town of Taneytown.

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
