We just got married this past weekend at The Standard. It could not have been more perfect. The staff went above and beyond every step of the way. We got the planning package and had monthly Zoom meetings with Sara to plan our dream wedding. She made the whole process so easy and fun.
I really had no idea what type of venue I was looking for when I first got engaged over two years ago. I saw pictures from The Standard from a mutual friend who got married here and really loved the way they turned out. So my now-husband and I took a tour and it was truly love at first sight.
If you have never been to The Standard, you are missing out! It is absolutely breathtaking & truly is the most perfect venue for a wedding. Most importantly, working with The Standard team put our minds at ease during the wedding planning process.
Our only daughter got engaged on December 2022 by January the search was on to find a venue in the Chicago area. After viewing several venues, they chose to make an appointment with The Standard in Rockford. May 18,2024 was booked In our eyes they could not have made a better choice for a venue.
Getting married at The Standard
The Standard comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
