We recently hosted my 50th birthday celebration at The Garden City Hotel and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The highlight of the evening was the The Rose Room, which might just be the coolest kept secret on Long Island.
We hosted our wedding guests here in 2025 and held our day-before reception, wedding after-party in the Rose Room, and post-wedding brunch. The brunch was fantastic - they accommodated a separate room for us during the Mother’s Day brunch for our guests. Everyone was fantastic to work with, especially Chris.
We were celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary and everyone greeted us and congratulated us. Upon checking in we’re were upgraded because of a wedding. Mary, our waitress for the evening, was amazing as well as the rest of the staff and the next morning at breakfast she made it a point to see how our weekend was…
Me and my wife stayed here for our 11th year wedding anniversary and from the time I booked until we left nothing but top notch service from the complementary valet parking to room service and daily follow ups. The room was very clean and well maintained I have not one bad feed back.
Getting married at The Garden City Hotel

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
