We just had our wedding here the past weekend, everyone asked how we found this place. Casey was amazing from helping us with the small details to the big day. It was supposed to rain the day of the wedding but I had my heart set on having the wedding outside.
We were very fortunate to be able to get married here 28 years ago! You can't ask for a more beautiful venue for your amazing day! The grounds are stunning. The barn is absolutely amazing. Every detail has been accounted for. The owners are very caring and committed to making your day special.
River House was an absolutely stunning venue! It is the perfect mix of redwoods and gardens with a beautiful barn for the reception (if you choose to have it inside). Would recommend to anyone looking to get married in the Santa Cruz area!

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
