I cannot stress enough how gorgeous this venue is. My, now, husband and I went hunting for the perfect venue a little over a year ago. We only viewed 5 places, Nestldown being the first. After our 5th location, I decided that Nestldown had to be the spot.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to photograph a wedding at the stunning Nestldown. This place completely blew me away! Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, with lush gardens and majestic trees creating a fairytale setting for any wedding.
This Venue is absolutely beautiful. If you have not seen it in person, you're missing out. The entire Nestldown staff is very courteous and prompt. It makes my work so easy as a photographer to focus on making beautiful images because the staff at Nestldown is so good at what they do. Cant recommend this venue more!
A honest review from a wedding photographer. I had my first wedding project at Nestldown back in 2013. I was madly falling in love with this place! I visited the site twice before the wedding, and that project also allowed me to win the ISPWP contest under the "venue" category.
Getting married at Nestldown
Nestldown comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
