I own a DJ company and we do weddings all over East TN, so I get to experience a lot of different venues every year. To sum my experience with RT Lodge: it is an exceptional venue with great staff that provide a perfect wedding experience. Communication with Ali (the wedding planner for RT Lodge) was superb.
Our November wedding at RT Lodge was everything I could have ever hoped for and so much more. The setting is gorgeous at any time of year. You'll constantly discover cozy little places tucked away as if they were waiting for you to find them. The decor is warm and welcoming and always make you feel at home.
We had the pleasure of staying at RT Lodge for a wedding, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Joseph was the first person we encountered upon arrival, and he couldn't have been more welcoming. He went out of his way to make us feel at home and even shared the fascinating history of the grounds.
OMG! I didn't want to leave!! Idyllic setting. Exceptional staff. Wonderful amenities. Was there for a wedding - perfect. Stayed an extra night after to chill. Would go back in a heartbeat!!!
Getting married at RT Lodge
RT Lodge comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
