From the reviews

Rosie’s/McGill is one of my favorite places in Charlotte. The garden oasis is enough of a draw but Rosie’s wine bar is next level: kind staff who are highly knowledgeable about the excellent wine selection. It was a no-brainer to get married here but I never could have predicted how perfect it would be!

★★★★★ — Hannah, Jul 2023

Not just weddings and events. This is a GREAT oasis to hang out with friends enjoying a beautiful hidden garden and live music. They sell wine if you are interested. The whole garden is well maintained without being overly maintained.

★★★★★ — Karen, Jul 2022

It has a variety of plants, not just roses. At the moment the grounds are transitioning from beautiful roses to other florals. Also an area to do weddings, host small gatherings and have a nice time with family. There is a floral shop in front. As well as parking on both sides of floral shop.

★★★★☆ — Mary, Jun 2018

I am a Charlotte wedding photographer and had the pleasure of working with the McGill Rose Garden for several events! The garden is the most intimate and unique space to host your wedding. From the flowers, greenery and string lights, the naturally decorated environment is hard to pass up.

Getting married at McGill Rose Garden

McGill Rose Garden comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
