From the reviews
The Botanic Gardens was a dream come true for our spring wedding reception! The staff was easy to work with, loved the versatility of the space, the layout and setup was perfect (props to our amazing wedding vendors). Best outdoor venue in Baton Rouge!
Gorgeous location for weddings and engagement photos. I've been here various times throughout the year and there is always something blooming. This is definitely one of my favorite locations to photograph.
Wonderful place, perfect for hiking, spending the afternoon, doing photo shoots and even having a wedding! I am planning my wedding and was very well attended by the wonderful Katie Guitreau. Loved this place!
The Annual plant sale was fantastic with a huge variety of not only the super Plants but also a large variety of plants being studied for their ability to survive the local elements. This event was very well planned out and very well organized. All the Master Gardner’s were very knowledgeable as well as helpful.
Getting married at LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens
LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
