My best friend just got married here, and it was beautiful. I can't believe something so nice and nature-friendly could be so close to the city! The house is beautiful, and the gardens are so beautiful. There are deer and turkeys walking around, and I loved being here.
Beautiful elegant step-back in time in this lovely old home of the shipping magnate William Dollar Family. Open to the public. Saved from the wrecking ball by the Citizens of San Rafael many years ago - so that YOU could enjoy it today. Gorgeous grounds. Facilities to rent for weddings, art shows and events.
Attended a small outdoor wedding. The weather was nice and sunny... maybe little too hot for me but still great. The area has a bit of an incline so the elderly and less able-bodied will have to use more energy to move from one spot to the next

Falkirk Cultural Center comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
