As an event planner and coordinator, it can be tough at times to put together an event when you don't really know the staff at the venue. But the staff at the English Manor were amazing!!! Kristie, one of the maître d' was a delight to work with.
Our wedding was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped onto the property, it felt like we had been transported —hard to believe we were still in New Jersey! The backyard was an absolute dream, offering a stunning and serene setting that made us feel like we were worlds away.
I cannot express how amazing this venue is. I got married in late October and everything was absolutely perfect. From the amazing scenery for photos, to our amazing maitre de Marlyn to the food everything was exactly as I hoped.
We got married here August 1st! It was such an amazing day thanks for the whole staff at English Manor and especially our maître d Marlyn. She made sure that everything went smoothly. The venue is so beautiful especially the gardens.
Getting married at English Manor
English Manor comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
