From the reviews
As a wedding photographer, I have to say that Botánico is an incredible venue for a smaller wedding or other intimate gatherings. I photographed a wedding here in fall 2024, and it was such a great experience. Everyone who worked at the venue was helpful and lovely to work with.
I had the privilege to host my wedding at botánico on 07/14… I just can’t get enough of how beautiful this place is! It was just a magical moment! The service was excellent and the food as well! Cassandra the event manager was the sweetest and always got back to me asap to answer questions.
Botanico Chicago is one of my absolute favorite spots for intimate weddings in the city. Tucked away in the heart of Wicker Park, it feels like a secret garden hideaway—an enclosed rooftop oasis that somehow feels worlds away from the bustle of the city below.
We had the most beautiful wedding here! It's a small venue, very intimate. All the green space meant the only decorating I had to do was to personalize the space. The food was excellent, Spanish style, not your typical wedding food.
Getting married at Botánico
Botánico comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
