Our wedding at The Upchurch was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived that morning to get ready, the day felt calm, joyful, and so thoughtfully planned. The venue itself is absolutely stunning.
The Upchurch and their staff were INCREDIBLE to work with! I had my wedding here in October and everything went so smoothly. Cara, Hannah, and Tara were super friendly and always available to help with my needs/questions.
My husband and I are a wedding photography and videography team based out of eastern NC. We've worked at The Upchurch about a dozen times now. I could have sworn I had left a review in the past, but since I didn't, I guess that means I get the pleasure of sharing with the world how amazing The Upchurch is!
Where to begin! The Upchurch is hands down the best venue to have your wedding at! Our wedding was back in September 2024 and I still can't get over how seamless the day went. This was the perfect space for a wedding where our guests were able to easily flow through the venue from start to finish.
Getting married at The Upchurch
The Upchurch comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
