I got married in August 2021. I 100% recommend this venue! I chose the McGarity House for many reasons. First of all, the property is stunning, whether you are on the lawn, in the house, the ballroom, or the barn... everything is so picturesque. Second, Melita, the woman who runs the venue, is so easy to work with.
I love this venue, it's beautiful and is perfect size for 100 people. I had the option to have my ceremony under the apple orchard, cocktail hr on the beautiful porch all around the house, reception indoors and dancing in the barn.
We had our wedding here last Saturday and it was a dream 😍 Melita the coordinator for the house was such a blessing to work with from start to finish. She's so laid back and easy to get ahold of. She helped our big day run smoothly and we couldn't be happier. The grounds are beautiful and picture perfect!
Where do I start? The McGarity House is perfect in every way! We looked at many venues that were expensive and did not offer as much as the McGarity House. The moment we stepped on the property, we fell in love.
Getting married at The McGarity House
The McGarity House comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
