We had the most amazing experience at The Gardens at Isaac Taylor for our wedding ceremony & reception on October 19, 2024! From the very beginning of our planning journey, Rachel and her staff were incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs.
We used The Gardens at Isaac Taylor for our rehearsal dinner and truly have nothing but amazing things to say. From the moment we chose the venue, Rachel made the entire process feel seamless.
My husband and I could not have found a better garden party venue for our wedding celebration! The location in downtown New Bern was ideal for all of our out of town guests to stay at local hotels and walk to the venue. Rachel was extremely personable and responsive every step of the way!
My daughter had her reception here in April of 2026. The venue was beautiful and everything went according to plan. I also hired Rachel (venue owner) as the wedding coordinator and she did an outstanding job. She reallly knows her stuff, which gave my daughter and I tremendous peace of mind. 5 star experience!
Getting married at The Gardens at Isaac Taylor
The Gardens at Isaac Taylor comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
