From the reviews
I recently photographed two weddings here over the past month and can say with full confidence this is the best venue in Ada County. I've been photographing wedding for 10 years and their grounds, staff, and service are impeccable. Such a lovely spot for a wedding without all the cheesy wedding stuff.
The cottage is an absolutely breathtaking venue. As a wedding photographer, I absolutely love the attention to detail that has been put into the venue. From the beautifully renovated interior that keeps the original 1930's detailing, to the incredibly well-kept grounds, the cottage is a gorgeous place to get married.
This venue is breathtaking. You don’t need to overcompensate with decorations at all as the beauty of the venue speaks for itself. There’s so much space, and different vibes in different areas that you can truly do so much with it.
Was there for my brother's wedding reception. Absolutely beautiful grounds that stretch down to the river. They have this beautiful fountain down by the river (I've included in the pics), and that area was nice, shady, and cool from all the trees and water surrounding. Definitely my favourite part of the estate!
Getting married at The Cottage at Riverbend
The Cottage at Riverbend comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at The Cottage at Riverbend
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Cottage at Riverbend — garden venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
