From the reviews

A simply beautiful venue in downtown Glastonbury next to First Church. Pat and Wayne are wonderful hosts and just plain good people. We recently held a catered 60th anniversary party for my folks here with about 50 guests. Initially we worried about parking, but it turned out not to be a problem at all.

Lovely inn with so much character! I attended a 5-day art retreat and it couldn't have been more perfect! The rooms, food, hospitality, art studio, and artist were all top notch. The owners, Pat & Wayne, were so warm and welcoming, and Teri (event coordinator) and the rest of their staff were also amazing.

Connecticut River Valley Inn is a haven of rest and abundance! Pat is a most gracious host who knows how to blend beauty, chef-quality food, and a variety of spaces in which to reflect, write, and create. I felt like I already knew her when I met her.

I hosted my son's wedding rehearsal dinner here in April. It was a long search for the right venue as I had a vision of the setting and vibe I wanted for this special event. Pat was responsive, caring and accommodating. Her Inn is gorgeous and the grounds are pristine.

Getting married at The Connecticut River Valley Inn

The Connecticut River Valley Inn comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.

Corporate events & private parties at The Connecticut River Valley Inn

Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at The Connecticut River Valley Inn — garden venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
