Had our wedding 12/6/2024. The actually venue I give a 4/5- loved the well kept white ceremony barn and reception area. There’s different spots for photos. There are updates that are really nice like white drapes on the ceiling now.
Without reservation, The Carriage House is a special venue to make wedding dreams come true. Our journey began seeking a rustic setting that would also be beautiful and glamorous. Easy to find rustic; easy to find beautiful; and easy to find glamorous. However, The Carriage House was able to deliver on them all.
Half of our guests were from out of state, so we wanted them to enjoy a venue that would allow them to get the most of the incredible Texas weather in February. The moment I walked into The Carriage House to tour, my mouth dropped. The main building is perfectly simple and gorgeous for any vision.
Walter Estates was an absolute pleasure to work with. We chose not to use one of their in-house packages and instead planned everything from scratch. They provided both a planner and a day-of coordinator, and both were professional, organized, and easy to communicate with.
Getting married at The Carriage House Houston

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
