From the reviews
My husband and I visited on the self guided tour. The entire estate is impressive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. So much to see and history to absorb. We were unable to see a small portion of the gardens due to wedding ceremonies taking place, but were not bothered by it.
A gorgeous old house museum. It was inhabited by several generations of the Sieberling family before being made into a museum. State of the art for its time, the house even has a fairly large indoor pool! I was there on a beautiful (but hot and humid) summer day, the property was the site of two weddings that day.
This is a beautiful mansion. The historic home and grounds are well preserved. I attended my niece’s wedding on a Saturday. It was held outdoors under a tent. I actually attended an indoor wedding there thirty years ago for the bride’s father.
Beautifully maintained grounds and garden. Stunning architecture, such a gorgeous venue for weddings or celebrations. Plan on 2 to 4 hours to fully tour. Perfect weekend getaway all year round.
Getting married at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens
Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens comes up for weddings, going by their listing and couples’ reviews. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
