Where to even begin?! This place was AMAZING!!! We did all the planning with Lynn and she was so helpful- she responded in a timely manner and continually checked-in for updates as we neared our date. When it came to the day of, everything was absolutely perfect and just as we discussed.
I shot a wedding there and it was gorgeous! Although, it was damp so the bride's dress for a bit dirty from walking around for pictures. They have wild turkeys roaming around too and some very friendly cats.
Beautiful venue! Plus one star for a great bridal party building (games, warm and cozy, comfortable), but minus one for restrooms; the only facility available was a (albeit nice) port-a-potty.
Our friends got married here and WOW! Beautiful gardens, owners were very nice and accommodating to everyone there! Glad we got to spend the afternoon here!
Getting married at St. Croix Woodlands
St. Croix Woodlands comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
