From the reviews
I’m convinced Sherwood Gardens is the best kept wedding venue secret is SW Michigan. It was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding weekend! The option to book the place for the entire weekend is what makes it so special. We were able to set-up the day before and clean-up the day after.
Having our daughter’s wedding at Sherwood Gardens was the perfect setting and location. Everything was lovely from the use of the beautiful home for 16 guests, the beautiful gardens and grounds, the already decorated barn for the reception and the lovely carriage house for the bride and groom to enjoy!
Attended a wedding here, it was quite nice. It'd be helpful if there was water in the barn area so caterers wouldn't have to spend so much time refilling drinking water jugs on hot days. Otherwise it was a great location for a small/medium sized party.
Very nice venue. The barn was very well layed out for a gathering. We attended a wedding there. Everyone talked about how nice it was.
Getting married at Sherwood Gardens
Sherwood Gardens comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
