From the reviews
Absolutely breathtaking. This place was massive, the gardens and flowers were very well-kept, SO SO BEAUTIFUL!! The restrooms were clean, parking was cheap, and don’t forget to bring a camera! One thing I will mention though is the amount of birthday and weddings photos people were taking there.
What a truly magical and beautiful wonderland! I seriously could've walked this area for 3 to 4 hours but the heat was SCORCHING. I loved how serene and visually stimulating this place is. It is accessible- friendly.
A huge state park with many different kinds of tree and plants. I love the green house especially 👍 (but it closes on Tuesday). I didn't get into the Main House but took many pictures outside. There were a few groups of people taking photos when we visited. It seems like this is a popular place for wedding pictures.
Had my maternity photo shoot here about a year ago. We’ll be returning to catch the blooms this year with our baby! The flowers were so fragrant when we visited and a kind park worker gave us a brief tour of the greenhouse when they found out it was our first time there.
Getting married at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park
Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
