My sons wedding very nice venue! Rustic inside barn area for eating after wedding was good had plenty people that was able to nove around without being crowded with a wedding of 85 people there is a handicap ramp to enter the barn.
It's like the Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge, only there are fewer buildings and most of them are in a better (though less period accurate) state. Still, if you've never been to one of these type places, definitely check it out.
A wonderful place to visit history. Well maintained and available for private events. Our concert was great and even more so at this venue.
What a fun visit to a historic site with multiple detailed buildings! The staff is so sweet and I even witnessed a wedding taking place on the way out. Beautiful rooms and buildings—interesting too
Getting married at Millard's Crossing Historic Village
Millard's Crossing Historic Village comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
