From the reviews
Mankin Mansion is a phenomenal venue. Take one step onto the expertly manicured grounds and you’ll instantly feel two things. First, a complete understanding as to why they rank amongst the top wedding venues in Richmond and are regular features in notable publications.
I absolutely love getting to attend Mankin Mansion as a wedding photographer and as an occasional wedding guest. The ability to have gorgeous indoor and outdoor options for photos and guests makes it super flexible!
Vendor Review: Soho Photos As a photographer, I enjoy capturing moments at venues that offer flexibility. Having both indoor and outdoor options for couples, especially during the peak season from March to November, adds to the appeal.
My husband and I got married at Mankin in September and I truly cannot put into words how amazing it is. From the moment we toured the property, we knew we found somewhere special. The venue itself is stunning. We wanted to get married outside but wanted a suitable back up option in case of rain.
Getting married at Mankin Mansion
Mankin Mansion comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
