We absolutely love Grand Island Mansion! It is absolutely a stunning European-style estate — beautiful in every corner, both indoors and outdoors. The architecture, gardens, and overall atmosphere feel timeless and elegant, making it an incredible backdrop for weddings.

Elegant, sprawling, and nestled right along a river, the Grand Island Mansion makes for one of Sacramento's most spectacular wedding venues. And it's a total visual feast when it comes to capturing wedding photos. Truly, the grounds and garden of the house are as varied as they are well-groomed.
We hosted our wedding at Grand Island Mansion, and it was truly the most magical venue we could have imagined. From the moment my husband and I first visited, we were blown away by the stunning grounds—the elegant front garden, the charming back courtyard, and the beautiful, historic mansion itself.

First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge.
