From the reviews
I first visited the Burr Homestead as a small child for Christmas, and now so many years later I visited as a full-time wedding and engagement photographer. It is a beautiful home, so well maintained to echo the past, but offering all the amenities and comforts of today.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Burr Mansion. Throughout the wedding planning process, Allison (manager) was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly accommodating, provided recommendations when we were struggling to find certain vendors or planning different aspects of the day, and had excellent…
My husband and I got married at the Burr Mansion on November 1 and I would do it over and over again. The venue was nothing short of perfection - from hosting our ceremony in the back garden, cocktail hour inside the mansion and on the porch and our reception under the tent - it far exceeded my hopes and dreams.
We had our wedding at the Burr August 2025. We absolutely loved it, the grounds are phenomenal. We had 115 people and had more than enough room. Our ceremony was beautiful in the garden area, and the tent was the perfect place for our reception.
Getting married at Fairfield Burr Homestead
Fairfield Burr Homestead comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
Corporate events & private parties at Fairfield Burr Homestead
Reviews and the venue's own info mention corporate events, retreats, or private parties at Fairfield Burr Homestead — garden venues often have real weekday availability since weddings claim the weekends. A quick call answers the three things that matter: weekday and off-season rates, whether the space works for your headcount and A/V needs, and what catering is allowed. If your event lands on a Friday or Saturday in wedding season, ask early.
