On this past weekend, I had the pleasure of celebrating with my best friend and her family as they prepare to welcome their second baby girl! I helped choose this venue. Mia was a delight to work with. The booking process was simple and Mia was responsive, kind, and informative.
We rented the Banquet venue and had ease with speaking with the owner, she stayed in contact with us. She was on top of sending us info on how to access the venue how to access the WiFi, and how to clean up everything once done. Very nice space we had absolutely no troubles at all.
My fiancé and I had the pleasure of renting this venue for our baby shower (Double S Banquet). I must say that everything was perfect from beginning to end. Initially, the communication with Mrs. Nelson was great. She responded promptly and clearly outlined all of the details.
I recently hosted my mom’s 70th birthday celebration at Double S Event on McMillian Drive, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The hall was clean, spacious, and beautifully arranged, which made decorating for the party very easy.
Getting married at Double S Garden
Double S Garden comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
