From the reviews
Where to begin? We had our wedding at the Derbes on a beautiful November weekend in '23. We planned the wedding ourselves and dealt with a LOT of vendors and the wonderful people at Derbes were top of the pyramid.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We stayed and had our rehearsal and reception at Derbes Mansion in May 2023. It was an amazing experience! From great customer service to a lovely place to stay, our wedding weekend was a blast. Our immediate family (which is a little large) was able to stay at the Mansion, which we really enjoyed.
I have not had the pleasure of going inside this lovely place so my review is only on the outside and grounds. It is stunning, the grounds well cared for and located in a beautiful part of town. I believe the Derbès Mansion is currently a venue that may be rented for weddings and such.
The Derbes is the best representation of NOLA culture, history, gorgeous architecture, and sprawling grounds with endless possibilities to host any event. We got married there on November 19th, and our family and friends stayed with us for the weekend.
Getting married at Derbès Mansion
Derbès Mansion comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
