From the reviews
Just the most beautiful event space! We were fortunate enough to have our wedding at the Center for Urban Horticulture (CFUH)- after a thorough venue search we knew we wanted somewhere that was Seattle-authentic, mostly outdoors, allowed outside catering and affordable. CFUH was all of that!
I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the Center for Urban Horticulture this past spring. It is such a beautiful location for an intimate/small wedding. The arboretum is a super cool location for the ceremony and if the weather allows the Goodfellow Grove is a great location for ceremony or even a reception.
The Center for Urban Horticulture was absolutely perfect for our garden party wedding. This incredible space is naturally so beautiful that it required minimal decoration - the stunning patio, gardens, and grounds speak for themselves.
I was married here in September of 2008. It was a beautiful spot for a wedding, affordable if you are an alumni and being able to open the hall as and indoor/outdoor space was great. The park itself is nice getaway as you can walk down to the water on clearly marked paths and enjoy the north edge of the arboretum.
Getting married at Center for Urban Horticulture
Center for Urban Horticulture comes up for weddings — confirmed on their own site. Two things make the tour worth it. First, see the garden at the time of day and season you'd actually get married — a garden that glows at golden hour in June can look very different at noon in March, so ask what's in bloom for your date and walk the path your guests take from parking to ceremony to reception. Second, bring your real questions: the rain plan (where does the ceremony move, and does it hold everyone?), shade and bugs for a summer afternoon, the catering and bar policy, the music curfew, and exactly what's included — tables, chairs, setup, and teardown are where quotes quietly diverge. Popular garden dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
